Evoke helped Horseback UK triple its social media footprint and increase awareness of its work with veterans, young people, NHS workers and trauma-affected communities.
The Mandate
Horseback UK is a respected Scottish charity with a powerful mission and a deeply human story. Supported by Queen Camilla as Patron, the charity helps veterans, young people and others affected by trauma rebuild confidence, purpose and connection through horsemanship, community and outdoor learning.
The organisation already had a strong reputation among those who knew it. The challenge was helping more people discover the scale, depth and emotional importance of its work.
Evoke was brought in to support social media strategy, content development, brand awareness, PR storytelling and event-led communications.
The Challenge
Horseback UK was not short of impact. It was short of visibility.
Like many non-profits, the charity had to communicate complex, sensitive and deeply personal work with limited resources. Its programmes touched multiple groups — veterans, young people, NHS workers, trauma survivors, families and partner organisations — but the public narrative needed to be clearer, more consistent and more emotionally compelling.
The task was to increase awareness without over-commercialising the charity’s voice. Every story had to be handled with care, dignity and purpose.
The Strategy
Evoke focused on helping the charity make better use of what it already had: authentic stories, powerful community moments, meaningful events and a mission with emotional depth.
The strategy was built around clarity, consistency and amplification. Rather than creating a glossy campaign disconnected from the charity’s identity, Evoke worked to sharpen the storytelling around real people, real recovery and real community value.
The aim was to give Horseback UK the structure and confidence to communicate more effectively across social and PR channels, while helping audiences understand the breadth of its work.
